About Gilcar Farm holiday cottages

The Gilcar Farm holiday cottages have been lovingly converted by owners Andrew and Angela Brook from redundant farm buildings, which were originally part of their working dairy farm, into luxurious holiday accommodation in an amazing setting in Emley, Huddersfield.

The Brooks have owned and run Gilcar Farm for the last 20 years, but their family has been farming the land since the 1930s. In 2002 they moved in order to extend their dairy unit leaving the buildings - which date back to the 18th century - redundant and no longer fit for farming. 

However they saw the potential to develop and renovate the buildings, turning them into unique holiday cottages in a peaceful, countryside location.
